Kemp In Drugs Protest

A group of unidentifiable people held a silent protest waving banners calling for the " Legalization of Kemp" in London yesterday. A flurry of press and television attention quickly encircled the home of Actor Ross Kemp near Sheppard's Bush. The actor formerly of the BBC's, Eastenders television programme was flummoxed by the sudden media attention.

Mr Kemp denied any knowledge of such a protest nor of the reasons behind it as he felt he hadn't done anything to warrant him being legalised by the courts . Police called to the scene by local residents quickly cleared up any confusion when it transpired that it was a group of dyslexic Marijuana smokers who were actually seeking the legalisation of Hemp.

Former Blue Peter presenter Konnie Huq has spoken of her shock after a protester tried to snatch the torch from her during the Olympic relay. When asked what she would have done if the Olympic torch had have been broken she replied, "Fortunately I have experience in making things from scratch being a former Blue Peter presenter. I suppose it would have to have been a case of finding a couple of cardboard tubes, some sticky-back plastic and an arc-welder."

After the recent consternation over pay within the police force officials are preparing themselves for a possible police strike the likes of which have not been seen in this country since the early part of the last century. If the police strike does come about we at Global News Towers ask the question who will protect the nation from gangs of flying pickets? Surely after the disgraceful scenes broadcast all over the world when Mrs Thatcher broke the spine of union activity in the Miners Strike the same will not be duplicated. Are we to see former Mine Workers volunteering to now block protesting police from gaining access to Scotland Yard? Or see them travelling in convoys down the motorway to subjugate the striking police? An interesting thought but what will Mr Brown do? Will he bottle it yet again or throw them a few bob more?
