Dangling some furry dice from a rear view mirror in one thing - but in Virginia, one lawmaker has launched a crusade against decorating a truck's trailer hitch with a large pair of rubber testicles???
State lawmaker Linton Spode introduced a bill on Tuesday to ban displaying large undulating rubber replicas of male genitalia on vehicles in his State.
He says, “ It's a safety issue, because the giant rubber testicles could distract other drivers. I know a man shouldn't be looking at another man’s testicles but when you see a pair bouncing up and down in front of you, man its distracting. I mean what next women having their big plastic flaps hanging down off vehicles?”
It is apparent that Mr Spode has not been made aware that mud flaps have been a part of most vehicles designs for many years now. Under his measure, displaying the ornamentation on a motor vehicle would be a misdemeanor punishable by a maximum fine of £128 ($250). The fine has been introduced as a means to curtail such open displays of manhood.
Mr Spode has been quoted as saying, " Once these people see the fine they will be getting I very much doubt that they will be splashing out on their testicles ever again!"
