The under-pressure Premiership football manager Phil Brown is reported to have saved the life of a suicidal woman today. The woman who is in her early 40s was threatening to jump off the Humber Bridge. Onlookers watched as the woman was apparently "sweet-talked" to safety by the sunbed fanatic Brown. A close friend of the woman said " she has been depressed ever since the season began but last weeks 6-1 thrashing at Liverpool was the final straw".
